Match Preview

Napoli come into this match on a 5 game winning streak in all competitions, and after last weeks break-out 2nd half performance against Lazio, the Partenopei and their faithful must be buzzing. However, Napoli have some decisions to make as far as personnel are concerned in this one. Sarri and his men have obviously prioritized Serie A,  so expect a high turnover tomorrow night at the San Paolo.

However, with injuries to Albiol and Chiriches, one can only imagine you will see Tonelli and Koulibaly. You also would imagine Mertens will get a rest, but with Milik not fully recovered, it leaves Ounas as your only cover in attack, so Insigne and Callejon look likely to get starts. It will be very interesting to see how Sarri and Co. handle this.

RB Leipzig come into this match with intentions of moving on in this competition. They, like Napoli, are a 3rd place Champions league group finisher, which dropped them into the Europa League, but their league ambitions are a little different. The side from Leipzig currently sit 2nd in the Budesliga, but are a whopping 18 points behind 1st place Bayern Munich. One would expect a nearly full-strength side, especially in Naples, to keep their hopes of any trophy this season alive. RB Leipzig are lethal on the counter, and have heaps of pace, especially players like Bruma and Werner, so it will be interesting to see how Napoli cope.

Probable Formations:

Napoli (4-3-3): Reina; Maggio, Tonelli, Koulibaly, Hysaj; Rog, Diawara, Zielinski; Ounas, Callejon, Insigne

RB Leipzig(4-4-2): Gulacsi; Laimer, Orban, Upamecano, Klostermann; Kampl, Keita, Kaiser, Bruma; Poulsen, Werner.
